Chevrolet will be recalling 59,000 Malibu sedans in a pair of recalls, according to a report from Reuters. Around 15,000 cars are being recalled over concerns that a bad wiring harness could start a fire, while another 44,000 units need repairs for issues in the HVAC system. The 15,000 Malibus being recalled over fire concerns are 2013 models fitted with the optional power front seats. According to a statement from Chevrolet, the wiring harness in the seats could fray against seat frames, which could lead to a fire.
