Ferrari-driving kid's parents charged by Indian police (video)

Ferrari-driving kid's parents charged by Indian police (video)

Earlier this month, we reported on a video that was circulating the internet which showed a young boy driving a Ferrari F430 on a street in India while other children watched and two adults recorded the whole thing. And that was all that we knew at the time. Now, there is more information about the car, the kids and their parents thanks to an article in the Daily Mail. As it turns out, a wealthy businessman let his son drive the Ferrari as a present for his ninth birthday and recorded the whole thing while his six-year-old son was riding shotgun.

Donal Trump Demands Apple Build An iPhone With A Larger Screen

Whatever the next iPhone turns out to be, one thing we'll pretty certain about is it will sell millions of units, even if it's just a simple upgrade to the device's internal specs and doesn't offer any real evolution. But an iPhone with a larger screen is something some current owners would love to have, even Donald Trump. Yes – Donald Trump is now throwing his two cents into the tech world as he is pretty much demanding Apple increase the size of the iPhone's screen by way of sending a message out through Twitter and Facebook. Trump said the following:

I have a lot of @Apple stock— and I miss Steve Jobs.

Are you looking for a great way to capture your lectures on video so that you can review the class again once it is over. While holding up your phone or tablet can get pretty tiring, not to mention the shake will probably make the video rather hard to watch, this is where the MirrorCase comes in. As you can see in the image above, the MirrorCase has been designed for the iPad where your tablet lies on the table propped up at an angle, and thanks to the built-in mirror, it will allow you to capture both videos and photographs even at that angle.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z now available for pre-order, free dock included - Begins shipping May 24th

It's been awhile since we last heard from the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, ever since we got our hands on it at Mobile World Congress 2013. One of the sexiest designs we've seen from an Android tablet since this side of ever, the Xperia has been keeping a relatively low profile, waiting in the wings for what, I don't know. Today, we're finally seeing pre-orders for the Tablet Z go live via Sony's online webstore. What's more is Sony is even throwing in a free tablet dock — a $45 value — free for pre-ordererer…ers.

Apple OS X 10.9 Touted To Come With Multi-Monitor Fullscreen

There is no point resting on your laurels unless you want your rivals to step all over your head, right. This is the very reason as to why Apple is working hard to deliver the next version of OS X, which would be version 10.9. 9to5Mac claims that Mac OS X 10.9 will come with an improved multi-monitor experience, something that has been a long time in coming, where users are able to run fullscreen apps on a single monitor, while access other desktop spaces as well as fullscreen apps.

The Barman Will Help You Make The Perfect Cocktail

The Barman Will Help You Make The Perfect Cocktail

There are apps and books on how to mix a cocktail, but sometimes some descriptions make it a bit hard for you to get the right taste. For example how much exactly are we supposed to know what a "splash" is. For the more experienced bartender, this is probably not a problem, but for those of us mixing drinks for the first time, the results are usually hit or miss. This is where the Barman comes in. Invented by John Gallagher, this device is essentially a weighing scale of sorts.

Through the use of its accompanying app, the recipe will be shared with the Barman via Bluetooth and from there it will guide you as to what ingredients to put in.

Switched On: Microsoft's small tablet trap

Switched On: Microsoft's small tablet trap

For example, if x86 chips were more competitive with ARM processors from a performance-per-watt perspective, then Microsoft wouldn't be as reliant on Metro-style apps for functionality. And if more developers were creating Metro-style apps, then consumers wouldn't have to go to the legacy desktop mode as much to get things done. (Until the company releases a Metro-style Office, Microsoft really can't wag its finger too much at third parties.).

New Pinterest Design Update Brings Back Some Old Features

Last month Pinterest rolled out a new look for all of its users. This new look was first tested by a select group of pinners in January, while it was still under development. The focus was on new discovery features which were aimed at making itƂ easierƂ for pinners to discover things of interest that they didn't previously know about.Ƃ However the new look wasn't appreciated by majority of users, which is why Pinterest has brought back many of the old features it had removed in the March redesign. These features include @ mentions and “via” links.

Editor's Letter: The new consoles are coming

Editor's Letter: The new consoles are coming

But enough about the excitement in my life, let's get on to the news. The buzz leading up to the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles has been immense, but it did get muted somewhat this week. First, Microsoft announced that it would, as expected, have a pre-E3 event in which the next Xbox would be unveiled. To assuage any doubt about that, the invite boldly states "A New Generation Revealed," a statement that cynics might see as a cheeky slight to Sony, who of course chose to not physically reveal its PlayStation 4 at an earlier media event. I, however, am no cynic.

Woman unknowingly smuggles pot over border beneath her car

Woman unknowingly smuggles pot over border beneath her car

We've seen very creative ways to smuggle drugs across a border with a motorized vehicle (including faux rally trucks) but most don't involve innocent citizens. Giving all of us yet another reason to peer beneath our rides before we travel, innovative Mexican smugglers recently used powerful magnets to hold five-pound bundles of marijuana to the underside of an unsuspecting driver's car as she commuted to her job. The 33-year-old woman, who lives in Mexico and travels across the border to San Diego for work, became suspicious at the end of her early morning commute when two men approached her car.

Toyota maintains world's largest automaker crown, GM and VW close behind

Toyota still holds the title of World's Largest Automaker. The Japanese automaker ceded the claim to General Motors in 2011 following a series of natural and man-made disasters that stifled production in Asia. Production is back up to full speed and, coupled with the introduction of a new Camry midsize sedan, Toyota retook the title in 2012 and has so far been able to keep it by selling 2.43 million vehicles in the first quarter of 2013. The race is still tight – General Motors reports sales of 2.36 million vehicles, earning it the second spot globally with Volkswagen's 2.27 million sales nabbing the German automaker third place.

Shareholders approve MetroPCS and T-Mobile merger

Shareholders approve MetroPCS and T-Mobile merger

Exactly two weeks ago, Deutsche Telekom presented MetroPCS shareholders with a new “sweetened” deal that they hoped would convince the folks to vote to approve the merger. The original deal would have loaded MetroPCS with enough debt to scare off any shareholders still sitting on the fence. That extra debt would have weakened the value of shareholder equity, something that any self respecting financier would throw in the trash. Deutsche Telekom's new deal lessened that burden which, in effect, gave the shareholders' existing equity even more value.

Solar power is definitely the way to go where mankind is concerned, as "green energy" could very well be the thing that keeps the earth around for the next generation. Well, modern day solar collectors are able to concentrate a certain degree of energy due to safety reasons, as if you were to amass more solar energy than you are able to remain cool, you would end up frying yourself – which is not a good thing. Intel is reportedly working on cheap tablets and laptops. These new low cost devices will run on operating systems made by Google and Microsoft. Paul Otellini, CEO Intel, already said that touch devices could come with a price tag as low as $200. Though it does not necessarily mean that such a cheap tablet will run Windows 8, it'll probably run Google's OS. Right now a Windows 8 based tablet or laptop costs more than $600 which isn't exactly in line with the price points Intel has in mind.

According to some analysts there has been chatter about 7-inch tablets powered by Windows 8.

Before that, our colleagues at Translogic spent some time with company founder Chris Anthony and were the very first to get some seat time in this Morgan-Three-Wheeler-Meets-Tesla-Roadster EV. You may recall, Chris Anthony has been involved with some some very special EVs, including the ill-fated Aptera, the DeLorean EV, the all-electric wakeboard boat and an EV ATV.
