From tomorrow onwards, six of the biggest libraries in Britain would be working hand in hand in a mammoth effort that will see them create the UK's official digital repository, which means that all half dozen of them have the onus of receiving just about a copy of every single book, newspaper and magazine that has been published in the UK to date. The only way to get this done is to digitize stuff, and that would also make life easier for the masses who want to perform research many years down the road once this particularly noble undertaking is complete.
