Land Rover driver caught on video mowing down NYC motorcyclists

Video has emerged of an altercation between the driver of a Land Rover Range Rover Sport and a large group of motorcyclists. The incident, which occurred yesterday afternoon in New York City, looks to have been started when the Land Rover driver bumped one of the motorcyclists (it's difficult to tell from the video whose fault this was). The incident momentarily brought traffic to a standstill, but escalated anew when the SUV driver ran down a number of riders while attempting to leave the scene.

Nokia 'Sirius' Tablet Apparently Gets Approved By The FCC

Nokia has long been rumored to be working on a Windows powered tablet of its own. Despite the fact it has agreed to sell its core phone business to Microsoft, the company seems adamant to pump out a few devices before the deal is finally closed. One of those devices is believed to be Nokia's tablet, codenamed “Sirius.” Apparently the mystery RX-114 Nokia device that the FCC just approved is the much rumored tablet. The folks at Engadget have gone through the 167 page filing and found certain details which are said to confirm that the device is in fact a Nokia branded tablet.

iGrann Instagram Client For BlackBerry 10 To Be Released Soon

There's no official Instagram app available for BlackBerry 10 right now. Users have to make do with an Android port by sideloading the APK on their BB10 device. Time and again it has been said that the official app will probably not be coming soon. This was reiterated by BlackBerry's VP of developer relations at the Jam Asia 2013 conference last week. He suggested that users find an “alternative.” A third party Instagram client for BlackBerry 10 will soon be making its way into the BlackBerry World, and it brings an impressive list of features.

iGrann is a full featured native Instagram client for BlackBerry 10.

BlackBerry Z30 Makes The Customary FCC Pit Stop

Earlier this month BlackBerry announced its new phablet, the BlackBerry Z30, in Malaysia. The company didn't exactly say when this device would be released in North America. Well, here's a sign that the release just might be around the corner. BlackBerry's new phablet has made the customary FCC pit stop, it needs approval from this regulatory body to be sold in the market. A GSM version that has passed through touts 4G LTE support on both 1,700MHz and 2,600MHz bands, which hints that the device may be coming to major Canadian carriers such as Bell, Rogers and Telus soon.

Hurst Hemi Under Glass drag racers to be auctioned

Remember those mid-engine Plymouth Barracuda coupes that popped wheelies high enough to warrant under-car advertisements. Well, owner Bill Sefton is now selling them as a four-car collection with Mecum Auctions. The high-riding 'Cudas - officially the Hurst Hemi Under Glass (HUG) cars - were built by Hurst for the Factory Experimental (A/FX) class to advertise the company's aftermarket shifters and wheels. The HUGs were rear-heavy, enough so that they sprinted down the drag strip in a very unconventional manner that proved great for advertising.

Remember when Mahindra & Mahindra was close to offering a compact diesel pickup here. A million voices from the truck-and-bed-loving tribes of the Internet cried out at once in anticipation, only to be silenced in disappointment when it didn't happen. And this was for a jitney with a bed that didn't exactly look robust in its press photos. The message these fans had was clear: light-duty truck + a diesel engine = a prayer answered for a significant contingent of truck buyers.

2014 Dodge Durango

2014 Dodge Durango

Say what you want about the Dodge Durango, but ever since it came on the scene in 1998, it has occupied its own niche in the SUV market – not too small, not too big, tough, able, not always the best on the road and not always the best off-road. If it were a football player, it would be a tight-end that can block and catch. If it were a hamburger – a double burger with cheese and bacon, but not the Whopper.

The old is set to fade away each time something new comes, and in this case, the Xbox 360 looks set to ride into the sunset as the Xbox One is due to roll out in the US as well as in Europe in under two months' time. The thing is, being an early adopter, especially in the world of video game consoles, can be quite a costly affair, which is why Microsoft has decided that those who are not quite ready to make the jump to a next generation console can always check out something more established and mature, like the Xbox 360.

Upon stumbling on a Blackhawk helicopter illegally parked in the street, this officer did the only thing he could: he wrote the pilot a ticket. Ford is in a bit of a pickle for importing and selling Turkey-built Transit Connect cargo vans as passenger vehicles in the US, then converting them to commercial-vehicle specification stateside in an effort to bypass a 25-percent tax imposed on vehicles imported for commercial use. Automakers are required to pay a 2.5-percent tax on imported passenger vehicles. The Blue Oval got into trouble for this in a January ruling in which U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials asked Ford to stop the practice of importing the Transit Connect vehicles with passenger seats, then removing and shredding them.

More specifically, there is a shortage in the casing of the smartphone resulting in disturbance in the overall supply. As a result, the demand from telecoms and consumers can't be met.
HTC reportedly will only ship about 200,000 One mini smartphones each month, which is less than ideal for the company.

Lets face it, with the cost of medical care and health insurance rising, it is more important than ever to look after your health. I have seen a lot of wearable activity monitors around, I even wear a Nike FuelBand everyday, but the information that you can get back is more about activity and not your health. The Angel health sensor, an open source health monitor seeking funding on Indiegogo, looks to change that. I guess it is a pretty well known fact that BlackBerry is not doing as well as they hoped to, especially with the seemingly botched BBM for Android and BBM for iOS rollouts recently. What is One Up by Sprint?

The One Up program allows you to upgrade ever year (12 months). One only needs to pay for the device in 24 equal monthly payments. There is no finance fee or down payment. To top it off, Sprint is offering a 15-dollar discount on their Unlimited Everything plan.

This makes up for the subsidy, since you are pretty much paying for the phone without their help.

Treasury sells more GM stock, stake now at 7.3%

The US Treasury's sale of General Motors stock continues, with the unloading of more than 110 million shares between May 9 and September 13 netting the government agency $3.82 billion and reducing its stake in GM to 7.3 percent, Reuters reports. The Treasury also confirmed that it now holds 101-million shares, which are on track to be sold by March 2014. Those remaining shares are currently worth $3.7 billion, with GM stock closing at $36.71 per share as of yesterday. That means Treasury is on track to lose $10 billion from the bailout, which is far less than earlier estimates of more than $20 billion.

Tesla staring down California dealer ad probe request

Months after the confusing announcement of Tesla's lease-like financing program, the electric vehicle maker could face an advertisement probe that has been requested by the California New Car Dealers Association, Automotive News reports, which claims that consumers are being mislead by advertised monthly payments that are lower than what most people would experience. The ordeal can be traced back to April 2, when Tesla made an announcement specifying tiered monthly payments for the three versions of the Model S assuming a 66-month term.
