The promised update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the HTC One X will start rolling out in October. As always, the first devices to get updated will be those sold unlocked and sans carrier intervention. For One X units purchased from carriers, the update should arrive before the end of this year. The information above doesn't come straight from HTC unfortunately, so there's still a chance that it's wrong. Do keep that in mind. That said, HTC surely has to have some people working on Jelly Bean updates for its smartphones – especially those in the much-touted One line.
