It doesn't make a difference if you use a desktop computer connected to a huge display, or a laptop with an 11 inch display, you will always want more screen space. I know for me that it was a pretty big adjustment when I downsized from a 27″ inch iMac to a 13″ Macbook Air. I don't regret the move, but I often find myself wishing I had a bigger display. When I'm sitting on the couch with the MBA on my lap, I can't do anything about those wishes, but when I'm at my desk, there is an easy solution… a USB monitor.
