Following in the footsteps of some of its higher-specced siblings, the Sony Xperia ZR appears to currently be in the process of receiving a software update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Like virtually all of Sony's recently launched devices, the Xperia ZR arrived on the market running the first iteration of Jelly Bean, which is Android 4.1. But now owners of the ZR can look forward to being updated to a newer version. 4.2.2, however, isn't the newest bit of Android anymore, since 4.3 was announced just last week.
