Well, it was an interesting piece of Samsung vaporware. It was called Tizen. And now it's  apparently dead.
At least according to Mobile-Review's Eldar Murtazin, who, commenting on the rumored 2 month delay of first Tizen phone launch, tweeted:
In case you have doubts about Eldar's record regarding Samsung's mobile platforms - he's got a pretty good one. Among other things, he predicted demise of Bada in pretty good detail, months before it became an accepted fact.
